Will store bought lawn fertilizer work for trees?
Typical granular fertilizer has a hard time penetrating deep enough to meaningfully impact your tree. Aside from this, the short term benefit of the high nitrogen fertilizer used for lawns is not always the best approach for trees and shrubs. Deep root fertilization allows our proprietary seasonal solution to be injected directly into the root zone.
Trees need extra nutrients to reach their full potential and offset the lack of natural nutrient recycling in a manicured setting. Forest ecosystems are much different than the manicured environment in which we plant and maintain trees. Rather than having a forest floor covered in decaying organic material, our trees are competing for nutrients with turf, restricted by structures, and rooting in places with little to no nutrient recycling.
