What is a Certified Arborist?

A Certified Arborist is a tree care professional , licensed through the International Society of Arboriculture, who is trained and knowledgeable in all aspects of Arboriculture. Certification requires a combination of experience, education, and satisfactory performance on an exam. The ISA holds certified arborists to a higher standard in regards to ethics and makes the industry as a whole more credible.

Is Arborlogical licensed and certified?

Arborlogical is a licensed tree service in Colorado and Texas. Further, we have set ourselves apart by becoming accredited by the Tree Care Industry Association. Being accredited by the TCIA means we are held to the highest standards for safety, customer service, business practices, and quality of work. Arborlogical staffs ISA certified arborists, licensed applicators, and numerous degreed professionals. Arborlogical is only accredited in Amarillo, TX.

What is a typical price range for tree trimming or pruning?

This depends on the size of the job, location of the tree, and equipment required. Let one of our sales Arborists give you an itemized estimate on the things you want completed.

How do I choose a tree company?

There are a lot of "Tree Companies" to choose from, just ask google! Look for a company that staffs certified arborists, is accredited by the TCIA, and is licensed to do business locally.

When is the best time to trim my trees?

This is a question we get a lot. The answer we most often give is "yesterday". As arborists, we want a tree to maximize its energy and resources and put growth on in the right places. If we can eliminate bad growth habits and unwanted limbs, "bad" growth will be redirected. Most trees can be safely pruned year-round Some diseases such as Oak Wilt and fireblight require that we only prune during dormancy on susceptible trees. How do you trim or remove trees that are hard to access?

How can I tell if my trees are a hazard or at risk?

Arborists are trained to notice subtle signs such as bark separation, fungal bodies, secondary insects, inclusions, etc. Hazardous trees may look healthy right up until the day they are not. Let one of our Arborists assess your property and identify any potential hazards.

Can I remove a tree myself or do I need an arborist?

When should I consider removing a tree?

While nobody wants to see a tree removed, but sometimes circumstances may require it. If you have mixed emotions on whether or not a tree should go, let one of our arborist work through your options with you. We may find a solution to save your tree. If not, you can be certain we will be able to develop a plan to remove it safely and efficiently.
